Oh My!

My sister made this beautiful headband from scraps of my dress and left over tulle. It turned out beautiful! I just stumbled across These Beautiful Headbands and they make me want to get ready to be married all.over.again.

Would it kill you to take just a second?

Words cannot express how utterly distressing it is to see a woman in front of me who has whipped her lovely

strands, that are, dare I say it? Still wet, and she piles it into a "messy bun," or a "ponytail"

Ugh! What are you thinking?  I know that life is busy, and maybe you didn't have a minute to yourself this morning. But you are ruining your hair! I always tell my clients, if you don't have time in the morning to shower and ready yourself, shower at night, put all your products in, and let it airdry throughout the night. That way, in the morning you can 'rough' dry it, to get the bedhead out, and spritz it with a volumizer or protector and you can style and go. WA LA!

Here are a couple ideas for those of you who NEED to have a ponytail in, --cough, cough, (all those who insist on wearing your hair long, but we all know you don't have the time or patience to actually take care of it or style it.)

I love this look, it is sooo simple, leave your swept bangs over to the side, backcomb your hair from behind your bang section, and crown of head, make sure to use a soft bristle brush, such as a Mason Pearson to brush over, No One should ever know you do this, this is a secret!-- then pull your hair into a low pony. Take a piece from your pony tail and wrap it around the base, secure with pins underneath so noone knows. This should look like it is held with your hair (that you have wrapped around) and nothing else. Like Magic! :)

     

Rachel Bilson's center part, and loose pieces through the front create a very romantical look. This is so pretty, very few can actually pull off a center part.

Super Sleek- Super Low view on this look. I don't suggest this to the everyday woman, It's a bit too polished. But this is definitely an option for a night out.

Sweetest Length

I love when hair just dusts the shoulder. This is the sweetest length and looks great on almost anyone. Camille Belle is just stunning, that's obvious, but I love how she wears this length is many different ways.

80's Hair- It's back

Believe it or not, 80's hair has been creeping it's way back. Some may not even want to come to terms with the fact that what is in now, is totally 80's hair. Let me show you what I mean.

With the tousled waves, the heavy fringe and curly ends, to the thick side sweeping tendrils, these are all 80's inspired. I am loving these.

My only advice, is to do it right.

Do NOT attempt this Look.

In fact, one of these were on my christmas list last year and I didn't get them!

I have always been in love with James Dean, His bad boy image and that jaw line. But check out that hair! (Drooling)

I love James Franco for a large number of reasons, #1 reason- He looks just like James Dean! And he has drool-worthy Hair.

Tip #6-Note to men, if you have a slight wave to your hair, embrace it! Add a little curl cream to slightly damp hair, run through your hair with your fingers and add a little pomade or paste to hold.

Wala! You could be the 'Next' Heart throb!

Lilac Lips and "Edwardian Beauty"

I am in love with these light liac lips. Making their debut at the Spring '10 Fashion week lead makeup artist Setsuko Suzuki for Shiseido painted on lovely light lilac lips with contrasting clumpy black mascara.

I love the romantic look created with the model's hair! Looks easy enough right? A little mousse in the ends, scrunch, scrunch. Pull the top back, while picking pieces out to create an imperfect look. Throw a curling iron through out random ends to create definition. I love this!

What's on your head?

(This is my favorite)

I woke up to powdery snow covering my lawn and puffs pouring out of the sky! All I could think about was what  I would use to protect my hair! I love scarves, and gloves,And these! But what about These adorable hats, and if you have money to spend! These are also to Die for!!

This is my best friend Whitney, I did her hair for a wedding this past weekend  and it turned out beautifully!

Bangin' Bangs

I have always had a love affair with Bangs.

ALL bangs. Short, wispy, piecey, chunky,soft,swept,swooshed,flipped,blunt,assymetrical,'V', rounded,etc. and of course, once upon a time.

Poofy.

But I am loving these looks for fall. I am a strong believer that EVERYone Needs and should have bangs. (At least once in their life.) I think it adds a lot of 'sauce' to a hot look. Try it out, let me know how it goes!

Tip #4. Dirty Hair

I love me some DIrTy Hair! I mean for coloring and updos mainly. It makes coloring hair, and styling hair much easier. The foils and backcombing can really grip to the hair, and allow a better foundation for us as stylists to work with. A BIG Thank you to all of you who so kindly come to your appointments with dirty hair. Dirty as in a day or two without washing- Please don't assume you are doing your stylist a favor by coming in after 2 weeks without washing your head. When the shampoos isn't sudsing, we have an issue with hygeine.
